Student Travel
Students traveling to a destination outside of VCU for academic or research activities (e.g., making presentations or attending conference/seminar) need to complete a Travel Authorization Form prior to booking travel arrangements. Student travel must include an advisor's explicit approval with funding source information. Reimbursement must be requested no more than 30 days after return.
Students may apply for travel grants from:
- Their home department or the Office of Research and Graduate Studies through their advisor
- The School of Pharmacy:
- Arzu F. Moosvi Global Medicine Travel Award (for Pharm.D. students | more information about this award)
- Rector and Rorrer General School of Pharmacy Graduate Student Travel Award* (for graduate students)
- Roberts-Thompson Travel Award (for Pharm.D. students)
- Sian and Peter Byron Travel Award (for graduate students)
- Thomas Karnes Travel Award (for graduate students)
- The Graduate Student Travel Grant through the VCU Graduate School
*Students who submit F30 or F31 applications are automatically eligible for a $1,000 Rector and Rorrer travel award to present their research at a scientific conference.
