Sarah E. Wheeler, Pharm.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at VCU School of Pharmacy. In her clinical role, Wheeler provides comprehensive chronic disease state management in a family medicine clinic at VCU Health, with a focus on cardiometabolic disease. She coordinates and teaches foundations lab courses and ambulatory care topics at the School of Pharmacy, focusing on developing student pharmacists’ patient care skills. Her professional and research interests include cardiometabolic disease, clinical pharmacy service development, patient-centered care, and scholarship of teaching and learning.
