Apryl N. Peddi, Pharm.D., BCACP specializes in academic pharmacy and ambulatory care. She serves an assistant professor with the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Pharmacy, where she is deeply involved in teaching, the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), and mentoring student pharmacists. Peddi is an alumna of VCU School of Pharmacy, followed by a PGY-1 residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital and a PGY-2 Academic Pharmacy Residency at VCU.
Since joining faculty in 2019, Peddi has held several course coordinator roles in courses across the first and second year of the Pharm.D. curriculum. She strives to find innovative, effective teaching strategies to keep learning engaging and productive for all students. Through these innovations, Peddi has contributed to pharmacy education publications with research interests in professional identity formation, the utilization of technology in the classroom to simulate real-world scenarios, and non-traditional instructional methods. She has been recognized for her contributions to SoTL, pharmacy leadership, and excellence in interprofessionalism and patient care.
Peddi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). She is involved in various special interest groups within these organizations, focusing on ambulatory care, education and training, skills laboratory instruction, women faculty, and technology in pharmacy education.
