Owen Markow is a laboratory technician in research lab of Shijun Zhang, Ph.D. in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2024 with a bachelor of science in chemistry with a specialization in biochemistry and a bachelor of arts in music. Markow plans to continue his education by pursuing a Ph.D. in either biochemistry or molecular biology. In his free time, he likes to compose music, go hiking, and play video games.
