Hao holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from William & Mary and has more than 10 years of experience in research, teaching and academic/student affairs as a scholar-practitioner. Her work has appeared in academic journals and online platforms, such as InsideHigherEd and HigherEdJobs. 

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and exploring new places, food, and culture with her partner, Alex. As a native Mandarin speaker, Hao is learning Spanish via Duolingo, hoping to become trilingual one day.
