Leigh Anne Hylton Gravatt is an associate professor, vice-chair of education in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at the Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy (SOP), and an Internal Medicine Pharmacist at VCU Health.
She is a 2003 alumni of the VCU SOP, completed a PGY-1 Residency at UNC Hospitals, and a PGY-2 residency in Adult Internal Medicine at VCU Health. She has served on the VCU Faculty Senate, VCU SOP Academic Performance Committee, VCU SOP Admissions Committee, chaired the SOP Curriculum Committee for four years, created the Fellowship/Residency and Advising Program (FRAP) at the SOP, and was the chair for the ACCP Adult Medicine PRN. She is co-coordinator of the Infectious Disease Clinical Therapeutics Module, coordinator of the Advanced Infectious Diseases elective, and co-coordinator of the Fellowship/Residency Preparatory Course.
She is a two time recipient of the VCU SOP Teacher of the Year Award (2016, 2020) and recipient of VCU SOP Outstanding Preceptor Award (2009, 2023). Her research interests include scholarship of teaching and learning, fellowship/residency prep and infectious diseases.
