Are there health-related prerequisites for enrollment?

Yes, you’ll need to provide a signed immunization release form, immunization records and health insurance information.

What kind of access will I have to the Inova Campus facility?

As a student, you will have access to the VCU School of Pharmacy Inova Campus 24/7. Each student has a locker for convenience.

How much access will I have to faculty members?

In addition to the Inova Campus faculty and staff, faculty members on the MCV Campus are available and accessible by telephone, teleconference or e-mail.

How about PC and Internet access?

Each student is given an individual logon account for PC and Internet. Two wireless signals are available. Students may access the VCU wireless account with an eID and password. Wayport, a free WiFi provided by Inova Fairfax Hospital, requires no logon or password. All students have 24-hour access to our computer and printing lab.

What if it snows or there is a hurricane?

Call VCU School of Pharmacy Inova Weather Hotline at (703) 776-7600 for campus closings and cancellations. If weather conditions are worse in Fairfax than in Richmond, you might still be able to view classes taking place on the MCV Campus.

Is parking a problem?

Not at all. Parking is free of charge at a nearby garage to which students have access, day and night.

Where will I eat?

Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Skylight Cafeteria is open 24/7, with discounted prices for students. The Park Avenue Café is open Monday through Saturday.

Any suggestions on housing?

Housing and transportation are plentiful in the Washington metropolitan area. If you haven’t made plans for housing, you might consider an apartment complex west of the Inova Fairfax Hospital that offers students a discount on rent.
