VCU and VCU School of Pharmacy Supported Laptop Models:

All students are required to have a laptop. The following models are supported by VCU and VCU School of Pharmacy technology professionals. You can customize and order your laptop through VCU RamTech, by calling 804-828-TECH (8324). These models include VCU School of Pharmacy support and service allowing students to drop these computers off for repair in Smith 351. The School of Pharmacy has also partnered with the VCU fixIT service which provides next business day repair and free loaners in the event of a delayed repair.

Information for models incoming 2020 students can be found here. General requirements are as follows:

  • PC or Mac (Intel) under warranty
  • Operating systems up to Windows 10 and El Capitan
  • Minimum of an i5 processor, i7 is preferred
  • Minimum of 4GB of Memory(RAM), 8GB preferred
  • Wireless Network card 802.11 b/g/n or 802.11ac
