The VCU School of Pharmacy’s Research and Career Day showcases our research and graduate program in the pharmaceutical sciences. It gives postdoctoral fellows, graduate and Pharm.D. students an opportunity to develop the skills and contacts needed to find jobs in academia, the pharmaceutical industry and government. Classes on career development, a poster competition and meetings with government and industry scientists are available. Also, Dr. Dr. Vijay Ramchandani, Ph.D., Clinical Investigator, National Institute of Health (NIH), will speak about "What Intravenous Alcohol ExposureResponse Relationships can tell us about Alcohol Use Disorder Risk ". Students and postdoctoral fellows at all stages are invited. Alumni are encouraged to attend, get to know our students in individual or group meetings and to participate in the poster session. Our alumni have the ideal background to contribute to the professional development of current graduate students. Since our students are our future peers, we also invite scientists to get to know our students for mutual networking, mentoring, and/or possibly recruiting for current or future positions within their institution. Please contact Dr. Aron Lichtman at firstname.lastname@example.org or Sha-kim Jackson at email@example.com with any questions.
